Revisiting History To Gain Perspective

August 21, 2026

Historians can glean facts from 10 years ago or 250 years ago, or longer. What do you need to know? What shaped us as a person or country? Where did you come from? What is your education?

My grandkids have remarkable characteristics similar to my parents and my grandparents. This can be called genetics, but it is also the legacy that builds through the ages.

What do you need to know about what is most important to you? You might gain that knowledge from history books or a love letter written in WWII. What do you want to know or do or accomplish? History supports all your dreams and needs. History provides the powerful examples of how to do “it” right and how to avoid the “wrong” way again.
