Leadership And Stress

June 18, 2026

Are you aware of how stressed and grumpy you are, cause I know you are stressed and I’ve done the grumpy. I “grumped” at my amazing Business/Operations Manager the other day on a call I requested. She asked me a question I had not considered and I raised my voice and reacted outside of what would be acceptable, ever.

My BM/OP and I have worked together for 16 years. She is amazing. She is lovely. She is one of the smartest women I’ve ever had the honor of working with and I grumped at her. I felt badly and I apologized, but still I realized that grumping indicates possible other issues and stress. My issues and stress. Nothing that she has ever caused or contributed to.

So it was and is time to really notice my behavior. To examine my reactions. To take some moments to see what is necessary to eliminate/calm my reactions. So I ask me, what is working, what is not working, what needs to change and what is next? Deep breathing, a few moments of self-reflection and back to how I can do and be who and what I want and need. It’s a good exercise. Try it.
