Constantly Reacting

April 15, 2026

Remember when that awful brother or sister of yours would not stop poking you? Or the dog next door that barks all day and night? Or your smoke alarm battery keeps telling you that the battery is low? You know, the constant noise or interruption that gives you no rest??

Well your life, right now, is just like that. Our brain is telling us to run or react almost every second. And I remember a time when leaders and thinkers had moments they could choose and just think, not react, and figure out whether a reaction or decision was needed.

We are all overreacting. Please do not take that as an insult. It is meant to be a “in your face” acknowledgment of how your day is actually unfolding. There is no rest in reaction. There is little thinking in reaction. There is no an peace of mind in reaction. Insist, for you, to find a way, spot, time that you are not addicted to the chaos we call this life of ours. We have a choice, especially when we get that our reactions are running us mentally, physically and spiritually ragged.
