You really do want to know their opinion…

Learning how to ask questions of your team or colleagues has been set up as being artful…like a talent we need to train for. It is not. Just ask. Some examples could be – ask people “is this working”, “what would you change about how we are trying to accomplish this”, “where would you do this if not here”, “how much should it cost based on your numbers”, “how come we are having so many difficult twists and turns in this project – what do you really think”?

My coaching practice uses a very simple 4 question query for ALL situations: whether people; projects; direct reports; clients; ALL situations.

Use these 4 questions and receive some very terrific immediate clarity: What is working? What is not working? What needs to change? What is next? You will find out how amazingly smart people are when asked to contribute their opinions and knowledge.

May I help?
