It might be time for a “close review” of valuable ways of operating

You worked really hard to become a manager – you run the whole financial office, brand new, millions in technology and extended hours for the people who can’t make it during the usual “banking” hours. A drive through with a human until 7:00pm at night. Amazing.

But, the calls are dropped; people do not return emails; people do not return calls; people do not get back to you until the 3rd week of trying to get in touch with them. Here is why: they were sick one full week and then moved into a new home the second week. There was no out of office notice. No one knew where they were. During that time, your social media sent out 12 messages talking about “great service”.

You cannot have all the “brand” stuff and not accomplish the mandatory communication – the minimum of communication – and be successful. Might want to take a closer look at the way you are operating.
