How Do You Know If They Learned What You Taught Them?

The purpose of teaching and training is to allow people to strengthen their talents and strengths and to find out what they are really good at. So how do you know if people are learning what you are teaching and they need to know and do?

You could test people. You could make certain skills mandatory no matter who people are or what they are doing. You could send them to trainings that you think will be valuable for them and the organization without any requirements to report their learnings or including what they learn in their performance appraisals.

The training industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. As a trainer and coach, I can provide you evidence of how little people get from their training without the relevance of how it grows them and how it can increase their contribution to their career and to the profitable performance of the organization. People care about the value they bring. Ask them if you are providing value…it’s beyond interesting what you will learn and how it will change your “Let’s Train Them” model.

May I help?
