More Than A New Year’s Resolution

I asked several of my coaching clients to consider their resolutions not only for the New Year, but to consider what would be beneficial overall for them and forever. Here are some of their answers:

  • Stop interrupting because “ I” need people to talk and think faster – be considerate of the communication and really listen
  • Reduce the judgment of what I think people are doing; saying; producing; acting like…get to know them and then form an opinion that is helpful
  • Stop eating after 9:00pm at night
  • Give my eyes a break several times a day by using my phone alarm to remind me to get up and move and stop staring at all my screens
  • Reduce the incredibly harsh criticism of myself – soften the brain storm of negativity
  • Breathe – give my body a break several times a day and just breathe
  • Build relationships and stop thinking about doing it and just do it
  • Put my phone down for several hours a week – start with one hour and see if you can do it

Don’t try to do all of these at once. Let me encourage you to treat yourself better as a top priority. Louise Hay said that the longest and closest relationship you will ever have is with yourself…so how is that going?

May I help?
