Thanksgiving, Gratitude and Hope

Thanksgiving, Gratitude and Hope

50 Million people will be traveling this holiday week to be where their family or loved ones are to eat the best food of the year: gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, turkey, cranberries, baked ham, spicy pies and green bean casserole. Much of the food is also: Thai with fire hot curry. Italian with homemade pasta. Mexican with jalapeños. Southern with fried turkey, fried okra and fried everything. Asian with incredible sushi and garlic sauces…so many more with delicious foods that are being cooked at our next door neighbors home.

Be thankful and grateful for the diversity of food and people and the way we incorporate all that into our daily lives. Good food. Good people. Great families. Amazing traditions.

Hope? What is your hope for this Thanksgiving holiday? You are allowed to always hope for whatever you think is most important to you and your life. My hope is I can match the love and kindness that my Gramma Emma put into every meal. She loved taking care of us. She is long passed, but lives in my heart and on my plate with every holiday. I hope you have a Gramma Emma in your family. If not, I can share stories and then you will know that thankful, grateful, and hopeful love really does exist.

Blessings on us all. Happy Thanksgiving.

P.S. I hope your Thanksgiving is filled with the people you love; a full tummy and a generous heart to share with others who need you.
