Making decisions work for you and your team/org…

Reluctance in making a decision because it could be wrong is natural. Even when we have all the research and data in front of us, the pit of our stomach can feel like “no no no”.

Most of the mistakes of decision making can come from waiting too long or losing your confidence about the decision. This is the time when 80% of the data and research need to be good and then the decision can be implemented. If you wait until it is perfect, will you even know that it is perfect? Or will you continue to wait until you really gum up your confidence?

If you need outside help with your decision, ask. Share the data. Share the concern. Share the angst about “what if I am wrong?”. The best people to provide you with information are those that you trust and respect. On all of our lists are really smart people who can help us make the decision or hold our hand while we push the “now” button. A tried and true way of helping you decide is a Pro and Con list. It reveals so much more than our confused thinking.

May I help?
