Do you say “thank you” enough?

Do you say “thank you” enough?

I just got back from an in person training and it was terrific. I was there 4 days so I had lots of time to experience the environment. On the first day the elevator broke and was fixed the next morning. I made sure I said thank you because the elevator got fixed at 11:00pm at night.

A little boy, just learning to hold doors open, held mine for the longest time. I leaned way in to say thank you and he and his dad beamed. The front desk clerk at the hotel did a favor for my meeting and made sure it was there when needed. She did not work weekends, so I wrote her a note telling her it was terrific to be able to count on her.

The gas pump would not give me a receipt which my client and my accountant would need, but the cashier easily printed one for me. I told her she kept me from getting in trouble and I did an effusive thank you – she was surprised, but pleased. Who do you need to thank today?
