Stress Does Not Have To Win

There is a natural and needed involuntary part of your body that serves you in every moment of your life…breathing.

The statistic that finally convinced me that breath work was needed, is we hold our breath so often we impede our bodies from relaxing. Our breath creates a sense of ease and “okness” that supports us…when we hold our breath because of stress and negative anticipation, we create loss of lung capacity equal to smoking.

You can learn to support your ease in breathing and reacting by becoming aware of how important how we breathe or don’t breathe, controls ease; anticipation of issues; attitude and anxiety. Take a few moments and just breathe. That simple exercise might just inspire you to take care of how you are breathing…or not. (Enjoy the breathing GIF below).
