Reminding Yourself of the Positive ALL of the Time

Reminding Yourself of the Positive ALL of the Time
In coaching, we have lots of language for when you need to take care of you. The language that works best for my clients is “stuck”. You just get stuck in the negative; the ‘I don’t knows?’; your brain racing with issues; eating wrong; no sleep; communicating badly; angry all the time.
We, as humans, are not meant to be perpetually angry and stuck. We are meant to be able to recognize when we are reacting instead of creating a positive path for us and the other people around us. So how do we do that?
Find an affirmation that works for you. I have my clients use loving, funny and positive affirmations using their nick names. One of my clients said he calls himself Dude. So his new affirmation is “You got this Dude. I love you, right here and right now Dude.” And then you say the affirmation for as many times as you are negative. Could be hundreds of times. It is always better than being “stuck” without a way to share space with that really terrific person that you are.
