So How Does Your Leadership Garden Grow?

So How Does Your Leadership Garden Grow?
A garden is a busy place once planted. You put together a plan of what you want to grow; you made sure that the plants were companions in the growing area; you chose the best seeds and plants and a location with lots of sun; you knew the harvest you wanted and needed and were looking forward to the glorious outcome of delicious fruits and veggies.
You can (and should) apply the same meticulous planning and expectations for your people you lead as a garden would need. What outcomes and expectations do you have for the coaching and mentoring you do with your people? Do they know what you need? Can they come to you easily and ask? Are you taking care of you and your needs and expectations? Are you weeding out the behavior and communication that is not working and replacing it with what will work well?
Clear, consistent, frequent and focused communication of the information needed to create success is exactly what you and they need and deserve.
