Anxiety and Stress and Debt

Anxiety and Stress and Debt
The idea and feeling of having debt – maybe big debt – can create anxiety and stress that is almost impossible to ignore. Just have the bank statement or the credit card statement arrive (car payment, mortgage, rent, college loans) and we can instantly lose the ease of where we are in our day. And, of course, taxes are coming due.
No one goes through life, now or ever, without some sort of debt. If we allow it to get out of hand because it is convenient for us at the moment, then we are inviting big, ugly, all-consuming stress.
I am not a “get out of debt” expert, but the day you actually take the time to see where your money is (or isn’t) and how you are spending your money, will be a day that will shift your thinking about debt. Take a good long look and decide what are the next best steps for you in feeling really good about how you use your money.
