How do you turn disappointment into being “ok” with how things turned out?
Do you know how to turn your perpetual disappointment with your life and world – the chaos and the “no normal” – into the opposite of disappointment = hope and joy?
I do and I want to share it with you. First, no anger and no feelings of “not being worth” the thing you wanted so badly. Secondly, take a breath and just feel the emotion and decide to support yourself with something you can control = ice cream, call with a best buddy, cuddling your cat/dog, yelling at the sky and cleaning your office at record speed.
Third, once done yelling, turn on your favorite movie or music at ear bleed level. Dance, sing, move around. Your vagus nerve will love the stimulation and you will change how you are feeling pretty quickly, especially if you are a terrific singer.
