On screen body language for lasting and impactful impressions.

On screen body language for lasting and impactful impressions.
More and more of us are spending hours each day working on live, onscreen meetings; calls; projects. It is for this reason that I want to remind you that “we can see you” the entire time you are onscreen. Are you making and/or leaving the impression you want people to have of you and how you work?
It is a fair question because, as of late, I’ve seen some pretty “bad” behavior and appearances onscreen. Many times, as an executive business coach, I am invited to join onscreen live meetings to contribute my input on the topic(s) being discussed. At the executive level, I have seen someone picking their nose; obviously scratching their privates; piles of unfolded laundry on the couch behind the attendee and outfits you ought NOT be wearing for business meetings with your colleagues and peers.
May I suggest, take a look at your background and be dressed to impress (even in the casual situations) so you can make the impression that you want: “I am a professional and I know my stuff.”
