Great data does not make up for how you look or present on screen.

Great data does not make up for how you look or present on screen.
The idea that you can provide/contribute great data to an onscreen meeting and get away with looking like you just walked in from a hurricane, is not true. Humans, that’s you and me, are “judgy” and critical of how others appear.
You need to be presentable when onscreen. I have one coaching client that put together a uniform for working from home. It is the same outfit (she has 3 sets) that she wears only for screen time. Nice shirt, no dangle earrings, neck scarf and hair back in a loose bun. She checked with her boss to make sure this was going to work for her wearing the same thing all the time. Believe it or not, this has become a brand for her and it is working well.
What does it solve having a uniform? No brain power needed to figure out outfits to wear each day and she always looks good and feels confident. Winning here…big time.
