How do you let your favorite authors and mentors in to inspire and guide you?

I happen to think that Peter Drucker’s book “The Effective Executive” is not only a brilliant classic for these many, many years, it is as accurate on management and leadership now as it was when it hit the New York Times “bestsellers list”. Whenever you have a “how” question, it is answered in his book. And how can he have all the answers? Because the man asked all the questions…….

What mentors, books, religious leaders, poets, self help gurus do you need to stay near and dear to you to help with inspiration and guidance? What would life be like without MLK, Rumi, Jesus, B. Brown, Mary Oliver and Greta Thunberg? Do not live without them. They feed you and motivate you.

Confession: I have printed quotes, on my two large bulletin boards in my office, covered with the sage and timely words of the people who are sane, consistent, loving, supportive and just smarter than smart. One of my favorite is “And, what else is possible”. It inspires me and my associates/clients/prospects/colleagues to think again…what else might be possible? There are magical outcomes in that question.
