How to easily give credit to the people who deserve it.

One of most effective way of passing on a compliment or positive credit is with a handwritten note. It is so underused as a powerful method of communicating easily. Just a quick note of how a person did or what you observed. They will keep that note for years; in their top drawer of their desk; post it on their bulletin board and each time they read it, it will feel good.

Many of these notes can be surprises too. There are so many ways to surprise people. Put the note under the windshield of their car; on their desk; through the post office – what do you do with a handwritten stamped envelope?? My point exactly. You can also write yourself an encouraging note. I happen to have “YOU GOT THIS”, on my bulletin board and I smile each time I read it.

You can also compliment and give feedback in public – during a meeting; at a party; Zoom call; on the golf course etc. We are all waiting to hear how we are doing. Including you. Take a short moment and handwrite a note to the person who is being clever and needs that information. BTW, Dollar Tree has a huge assortment of cards for a $1.00. (Yes I own the stock 😊)
