What simple stress relievers can you incorporate into your day?

Every moment of our day we are breathing. That is a perfect place to begin…taking frequent moments in your day to breath deeply. When we fill our lungs with air and our bodies with life giving oxygen, our whole body, spirit and mind feel refreshed. When you begin this practice of more and frequent mindful breathing, you will notice how often you have been holding your breath because of stress.

These stress relievers also work well: movement and stretches – at your chair or using the area around you; hydrating with water – have your water bottle with you all the time so you can easily take a sip or a gulp of life giving water; silence – find spots (or use ear plugs) to carve out frequent moments of silence; and conversely, use your favorite music to please you and bring a smile to your face.

Using your device as a reminder works perfectly…it is always with us and the alarms to remind us are easy to set up. Pick two times a day – morning and afternoon, to use these stress relievers. Your mind, body and spirit will thank you for these moments of relieving our unrelenting stress.
