Being the “bringer” of the positive and what is possible to my clients, prospects and audiences is a big responsibility…which I love, by the way. However, sometimes I am not so positive myself.

What do you do when you can’t do well what you are known to do?

I look for inspiration and support. And boy did I find it with Mike Dooley and his profound www.TUT.com . I’ve listened to him over the years and loved his energy. This listening time, his words and thoughts beautifully hit my needed mark again.

Dooley is exuberant and funny. He comes from some terrible circumstances, not so successful in life situations to creating thousands of people on his lists to hear his wisdom and support.

Let me share a bit of his wisdom, paraphrased:

  • Thoughts become Things – pick the good thoughts – be kind and truthful and loving with yourself
  • Help remove the fear by leaning in and taking a good look at what you think you are afraid of
  • Order is one half of life and being cleaned up is needed (this one really stuck with me – not a duster here)
  • Let yourself know that you are incredibly blessed – count your
    blessings, often
  • You are blessed beyond measure and need to acknowledge that for you and your life

I needed to hear I was good and blessed and ok. I needed to be reminded that being grateful, here and now, is powerfully supportive when afraid or lost.

We need to replenish ourselves, especially if it is our job and vocation to be the inspiration for others.

The song that comes to mind is “I feel good” – old James Brown rock n roll tune. You might like it: Listen here

Did everything become “good” once I was reminded? Well, yes. I got back in touch with me – the one I was missing and the one I counted on each day to lead me in the direction of what I value and love.

Coaching, supporting, guiding, celebrating success. The things that when I get in bed at night, I feel good. I am trusted. I am consistent and am aimed in the direction of high performance, safety and success.

What do you need to feel good?
