Is there anything you need to forgive yourself for right now?

Is there anything you need to forgive yourself for right now?
Several of my clients are answering this question this week, so I thought I would share the richness of some of their answers with you. I’ve asked them this question because the Thanksgiving holiday coming up seems a perfect time to think through some “forgiving” ideas.
One example of forgiveness that I have used for years on my Holiday Stress Tips, is forgiving Aunt Marge for making terrible gravy. Why you ask? Because the gravy really is terrible. Yup, but 30 years ago when she started making it, no one had the courage to say anything. So Aunt Marge has never shifted her gravy making ways for Thanksgiving and probably never will. And I bet you a significant amount of money, she is darn sure everyone likes her gravy.
Forgive Aunt Marge. Forgive you for never having said anything and for thinking those ugly judgmental thoughts about her and the gravy. I bet you have other thoughts or people you need to forgive. And maybe right on top of that list is to forgive you…
