Thank you!

Thank you to all of you that have served in our military and especially those who support the military – family, food services, supplies, operations. It takes a lot of people to support our soldiers.

They require the best equipment; uniforms; medical treatment; dollars to live; operating instructions; training on “how”; transportation. There is so much more that goes into our military than just that soldier you see in uniform.

It is a team and we are part of the team.

That is why I love this quote by Prince Harry (10 years active service, two tours in Afghanistan)

“Service is what happens in the quiet and in the chaos. It’s what happens in the darkness, it’s what happens when people aren’t looking. It’s what happens on and off the battlefield. It’s about carrying out our duty as soldiers.”

As a sister, mother, ex-wife, and daughter of military, I’ve always wanted to find the right words to thank our soldiers. I believe that Prince Harry’s quote is what we do not get to see, but the extraordinary measure of service that happens, whether we are aware of it or not.

My family has experienced WWII, Vietnam, Iraq, hardships tours, and enormous danger. Yet when there is an American flag present, we all stand still with respect and silence. When you love someone in the military, you learn a bit of what they learn. Duty, honor, country.

Thank you for your service.

Thank you for the support and respect of our country.

Thank you for coming back alive because so many did not.

Thank you for continuing your dedication and integrity through your work; family; community and church.

Thank you for teaching me and sharing your enormous heart.

Veteran’s Day is November 11th. But our military support for us and our country is 24/7.

Thank you.

To Your Success,
