When are you going to give yourself a break from your negative thoughts? 

Before you can start using positive feedback, I believe you need to know that you are a negative stinker to yourself most of the time. If we could hear your thoughts, you would put the sound on silent because you would be embarrassed that anyone could hear how tough you are on yourself. You don’t have dear friends who speak to you that way, why would you tolerate your closest ally, you, speaking to you that way 24/7?

Yes, sometimes changing how your thoughts seem to just slide in and be negative, is hard. But so what?? You have done lots of hard things before and been wildly successful. I know you can do this too. Find one mantra or affirmation and repeat it again and again until you can feel it is working. My first affirmation/mantra years ago, was “I am enough”. It changed my life forever because I began to believe…then act…in ways that proved I was (and am) enough.
