What is the clutter in your space doing to your effectiveness?
Some of us were born with a gene that attracts and creates clutter just by sitting still. If you are one of those that can make a cluttered mess easily, then may I suggest you find time daily or weekly, to arrange a workspace that serves you. Clutter for our brains means continually looking, moving around stuff, reaching over non-essential things to get done what we do well.
Clutter and no clutter make a difference. Just imagine cleaning out your car. It just feels good. So does decluttering your workspace. What needs to be in your workspace to help you be brilliant, effective, and accountable? Look right now at your space and be honest. What is there that is keeping you from being relaxed and efficient?
Whoops – I need to take my own advice. My lunch today is going to be sorting through this messy pile to the left and removing the juice glasses from the corner of my desk. I also need to empty my briefcase, take out some key documents and sort them. Maybe even delete some emails. And that folks, will help me feel much more efficient. What is on your list to help you declutter and be more effective??
May I help?
P.S. So many are saying they are having trouble sleeping. Here is a 24/7 link to help you relax and sleep.
