What could possibly go wrong with the decisions I am making?

“Natalie, what if I make the wrong decision?” What if you do? What have you done in the past when your strategy and planning did not work? I bet you looked at the results and thought, “what was I thinking”? So today, how is that strategy and thinking going? Do you have any space to concentrate and feel confident about the decisions and direction you are headed?

Pause………….take a deep breath – several deep breaths – and engage your talents and strengths. They have not disappeared. The world is really upside down, but you are not. The only thing missing from your strategies and planning is certainty. What if your best plan is wrong? I bet you will learn some terrific lessons from the results like you always do, and then regroup and try again. The human spirit does not give up. There are hundreds of examples of people out there right now getting up and trying again. This is not a challenge, it is a statement that you got a hold of this slicky greased up thing for the moment and you will survive and then thrive. There have never been any guarantees about the results, only tenacity that you wanted to be there at the finish line, hands on your hips, nodding “yup, we did it, yup I did it”.

P.S. This list of “seize the opportunity” is not my idea, although I think it is a brilliant idea. It is a list of things that can help fill your time productively while at home – for those of you that are at your physical workplace, find someone at home to work on the list for you. And, thank you for all the healthcare, first responders and retail people who are keeping us safe and fed.
