How “bad” does your panic level need to get to before you take care of you?

The most influential and important people in our lives remind us to take care of us. Best friends. Moms and dads. Family. Friends. They especially care when we seem panicked and spending time on our global crises and feeling very little control over the circumstances. I think if you are reacting to all that is around you it means you notice and you care. So what is next in your noticing and caring… for you??

There are so many situations that you can control: your breath; nutrition; hydrating your body; movement; positive thinking; prayer; meditation. Just breathing well and being aware of your breathing helps your body and mind know you are “OK”. Stop doing what you are doing and just “be” with yourself. Breathe. Several deep breaths. It will make a noticeable difference immediately.

Your job is important. Your family is important. The process you are in charge of is important. But, you cannot take care of anyone or anything else well unless you have a way of taking care of you… even if only for this moment.

May we help?

P.S. My clients have asked if I would do some “crisis coaching” for their colleagues and teams. If you need, now, some support and help, email me to my personal email: coachnatalie@nataliemanor.com You do not have to do this alone – allow support and reassurance and methods to help you and those that count on you.
