Today is a big deal because it is your reality.  Right now you are watching the weather for the hurricane; wondering about the shootings; hoping your child is safe at school and trying to finish that project at work.
We get distracted and feel not as grounded or safe as we would like.  Maybe even not as safe and grounded as we use to feel.

Your tendency to want to control any next happenings or steps is absolutely natural.  Humans want what they want when they want it.  Our instantaneous technological world connects us to the idea that we can control our world if we try hard enough.  And to a certain extent, that is true. 
My question to you is “Who are you that is wanting to control your world and how will YOU handle tomorrow?”
When we perceive and feel: 

  • Strong
  • Knowing
  • Confident
  • Rested
  • Supported
  • Certain
  • Loved
  • Admired
  • Respected/trusted 

We operate from a very different way of reacting and responding, then when we perceive and feel:

  • Hopeless
  • Lost
  • Angry
  • Resentful/offended
  • Passed over
  • Dismissed
  • Unclear
  • Reactive and filled with fear

So how will you handle tomorrow?  Are you centered or angry? 
Can you get to your “best self” right now or are there some shifts that are needed to feel good again?

I learned a new number a couple of weeks ago.  It is Quadrillion.  It is the next number after Trillion.  I learned about quadrillion because we have 400 quadrillion bacteria in our bodies that operate with the 100 trillion cells that are feed by lunch today and our sleep last night. 
There is no way to ignore what our body, mind, and spirit needs.  Our bodies, minds, and spirit begin a slow decline when we habitually do not take care of what it needs: 

  • Good sleep
  • Peaceful thoughts
  • Caring moments
  • Confidence and love
  • Nutritious food
  • Forgiveness and patience
  • Movement and exercise
  • Conscious self-caring 

So my point in asking “how will you handle tomorrow” involves who you will be to handle your tomorrow?  You will handle tomorrow by what you decide to do with your mind, body, and spirit today.   

EVERY client I work with is reminded by me to breathe.  Your breath is the best place to start in your self-care.  Your body will respond IMMEDIATELY to careful, conscious, willful deep breathing by relaxing and allowing your brain to be clear.  You can breathe anywhere, any time.  Clarity for you is everything you need, right here and right now.
So breathe.
